Roles de género en el diseño de personajes de marca: la china poblana en marcas mexicanas

Resumen

El artículo aborda cómo los personajes de marca reproducen estereotipos culturales y roles de género, enfocándose en la china poblana como símbolo visual de identidad mexicana. Mediante la revisión de varios empaques con personajes femeninos, se identificaron estereotipos que vinculan la feminidad con lo doméstico, la tradición y el servicio; la representación de mujeres con rasgos indígenas en productos de limpieza refuerza jerarquías de clase y etnicidad. Los hallazgos destacan cómo las marcas perpetúan estereotipos de género y étnicos para proyectar autenticidad y nacionalidad, resaltando la necesidad de un enfoque de diseño más ético e inclusivo.
