David Fincher has been responsible for the construction of a contemporary imaginary about these infamous characters, excessively media-friendly, who have frightened the public and caused panic within American society. In this work we propose to dissect Fincher's works that are dedicated to delving into the phenomenon of serial killers, the role played by the media in creating their public image and the role of the security forces when it comes to hunting down these terrible murderers.
