Abstract

The new social media include a new media sphere where new information formats are generated. In this sense, our research will focus on a new dynamic of community news in the new media; for this, in our research will use the hermeneutical method to make a semiotic analysis of the space projected by KolectiVOZ, "Culopropism", which we find on the Facebook and Twitter. The digital media denounces complaints of citizenship as an invasion or misappropriation of public space. In this way, the semiotic analysis will start from the respective dimensions: syntactic, semantic and pragmatic, which will be connected with the results of the technical and social hypermediations that allow communication in the digital space, and what type of audiences are consumed by those contents. At present, we live the network society (Castells, 2001) and with the development of the new technologies an information bombardment is evident due to the continuous activity of the prosumers (Scolari, 2008) that it is an audience that not only consumes content, but also produces them. Given this, the audiences cohabit in an ecology of media where digital media and analog media coexist (Scolari, 2015), consequently, the formats of the news content diversified, not only in terms of content but also in formats (Oviedo & Ulloa, 2016). Given this, the Internet as a great information platform far exceeds the informational dimensions that analog media can provide, in which all kinds of situations that favor or not a society are presented. Digital natives (Piscitelli, 2008) who were born surrounded by technology have a series of cognitive abilities that digital migrants do not have, which is why the new news formats are focused on this new audience.
