Abstract

The Viña del Mar International Film Festival meets every year the most representative works of independent Latin American cinema. It is curious to know that being one of the oldest in the region, When he turned 50, he had his beginnings in the sixties as a film club led by a pediatrician and cinema-goer from Buenos Aires, born in 1923 Among the various competitive categories promoted by the festival We have the International Film School Competition, in that the titling project that I directed, El Rey del Muyuyo, had its international premiere This short documentary cut ethnographic, but at the same time essayist and observation was developed
in the "Integrative Project" modality, as part of the process of Graduation of the Production Race for Media.
As participant subject we have Bonifacio Crespín, artisan of this plant material who resided in the canton General Villamil, Beaches. We also had the honor of including original pieces of Selma Mutal, award-winning film composer with titles like La Teta asustada(2009).
